各位親愛的家長及同學：

Dear parents and students,

11月初學生進行了本學期的第一次考試，深、港兩地同時進行。多謝大家的努力，我們順利完成異地同考了。這段時間，校長四出到學校附近的幼稚園探訪，了解附近幼稚園特色，每位校長都友善又有熱誠，部分校長更在屯門區工作十多年之久，與我分享不少工作經驗，令我獲益良多，亦得知區內家長對我們的看法。希望透過我的探訪，能夠推廣學校，讓各幼稚園了解LTY的特色，留意我們的轉變。另外，我們為幼稚園學生舉行由外籍老師任教的英文故事班，一如以往，一開始招生，不出一天便額滿了。下學期我們再會舉辦同類活動，請大家留意。而最受幼稚園學生歡迎的英語戲劇課程也即將開始報名，對戲劇有興趣的小朋友可以報名參加。

In the beginning of November, the first term, Mid-term examination was held. Both students in China and Hong Kong needed to attend the examination simultaneously. Thank you so much for all the hard work done by teachers, students and parents. It made this examination finish well. During the examination, I went to visit some kindergartens near our school. The aim was to get a general idea about the characteristics of all these kindergartens. All the Kindergarten Principals are so kind with a lot of passion. Some Kindergarten Principals have been working in Tuen Mun for over a decade. They shared a lot of their experiences with me and I was able to learn a lot from them. More importantly, I understood the perspectives of parents around this area more. Through this kind of visit, our school can be promoted and let all these kindergartens know the features of our school and the changes made. Besides this, our NET and ELTA will hold some English classes to students to learn some English stories. As usual, all these classes became full within a day. We are going to have similar classes in the next term so please pay extra attention. Drama class is favourable, application will be opn soon. If some kindergarten students are interested in it, please pay attention to our school website.

為提高學生寫作興趣和動機，營造校園寫作氛圍。中文科教師帶領小六學生到屯門碼頭進行實地考察，以訓練學生觀察能力，並從生活情境中提煉寫作素材。過程中，看到學生們十分投入。 最重要是可以將是次戶外學習轉化為寫作，十分有意義。

In order to develop students' interest and motivation in writing, and to create a good writing atmosphere, the Chinese language teachers bought Primary 6 students to Tuen Mun Ferry Pier to train the students' observation skills and extract writing materials from real life situations. In this process, students were engaged, and more importantly, students could learn how to convey their observation to a piece of writing. It was such a great experience.

11月18日及19日舉行「屯門區小學學界田徑比賽」，學生們獲得了佳績! 當天的比賽成績如下：

Tuen Mun Schools Athletic Competition was held on 18th and 19th November, 2021. Our students performed so well to get the following medals:

11月20日(六)舉行了2021至2022年「法團校董會家長校董選舉」及第二十三屆「家長教師會主席及執行委員會委員選舉」。當天我們先舉行了一場家長講座--「拜拜港孩 自理自律負責」，講者以輕鬆手法分享如何培養小孩的自理自律精神，家長及老師們都十分投入。之後進行「第二十三屆家長教師會主席及執行委員會委員選舉」，結果，由蘇健基先生成為法團校董會家長校董，盧美斯女士成為法團校董會替代家長校董。而本屆家長教師會執行委員會委員分別為蘇健基先生、盧美斯女士、繆輝蘭女士、邱美儀女士、張唐清宗女士、張素花女士及劉小芬女士。多謝各位家長對學校的支持。

The annual Parent-Teacher Association Executive Committee Member Election and IMC Parent Manager Election finished voting, and vote-counting took place in the morning of 20th November 2021. Before this election, a seminar was held for parents and teachers called ‘Farewell Hong Kong Kids! Self-discipline and self-management are their own responsibility!’ The presenter was experienced, and she used some relaxing and funny ways to teach us how to cultivate students with good manner. Parents and teachers enjoyed it a lot. The current Parent Manager, Mr. SO Kin Kei, and committee members all assisted with vote-counting and scrutiny after the seminar. It went very smoothly. Mr. SO Kin Kei was reelected with the highest number of votes for both elections. He is the chairman of PTA and the Parent Manager of IMC. Ms. Leung Lo Mi Si, Louisa is the Alternate Parent Manager. All the members remained without changes. A big thank you to parents for your dedication and contribution to our school.

在11月24日，當天安排了六年級學生拍攝畢業照。今年學校為他們安排拍攝全班畢業照及個人畢業照，希望給各位同學一個難忘的經歷。希望他們畢業後，每次看到這張畢業照，也能回味他們小學的生活。

On 24th November, 2021, the school arranged photo-taking for all the Primary 6 students. It was a bit different because they wore graduate gowns with bonnet and mortarboard. We hope to give an unforgettable moment to our graduates. They took a class photo and an individual photo. I believe that it cherished them a lot and make them recall the good memories in primary school.

為增加小一學生對學校的歸屬感，我們於11月26日(五)舉行小一百日宴--「LTY滿悅FUN」慶祝學生在小學生活了100天。當天邀請了小一家長前來參加，看着孩子這三個月的成長、進步，真叫人十分感動。祝願大家學業進步身體健康。天氣轉冷了，大家要注意身體。

To enhance the sense of belonging for the Primary 1 students, Primary 1 Hundred Day Banquet — ‘LTY．Full Joy Fun’ Activity was held to celebrate Primary 1 students who has already been a primary student for 100 days. P.1 parents were invited to come to school to see how their kids have grown within the first 3 months. It was touching. We hope all the students can improve in their academics with good health. The temperature drops, please take good care of yourself.
